Two days ago, Five Star music act, Kcee dropped a new song and video titled 'Desire' to celebrate his birthday and the following day, he was on set shooting another video with Olamide for a new song titled 'We Go Party'. The new video was shot in Lagos by Unlimited LA and features cameo appearances by Jimmy Jatt, Iyabo Ojo Yomi Casual, Gbenro Ajibade, Mystro and others. More photos after the cut.

South African Police investigates Nigerian prophet accused of sexually abusing of young girls

The Hawks have made progress in their investigation of a Nigerian prophet who allegedly sexually abused young women from his church, a spokesperson said on Tuesday, April 18.
"We are investigating different charges, but we can't name them before making an arrest," Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Netshiunda said on Tuesday.

UK to begin trial of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, in June

The United Kingdom will begin the trial of former Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, and four others  in London, in June 2017, over allegations of corruption and money laundering.

Diezani who has been in the UK since 2015, is alleged to have stashed in the UK, proceeds from corrupt practices she got while in office.

Students from Wits and the University of Johannesburg marched in their thousands through South Africa’s commercial capital on Thursday, October 22.

They marched to Luthuli House, the headquarters of the ANC, where they handed a list of demands to officials.

The students who were protesting against fee increases allegedly hurled stones at police guarding the union buildings ahead of an address by president Zuma.

A prison officer identified as Onoja Osita Kingsley pictured above was yesterday arraigned before Justice A.V. Agishir of the Federal High Court, Enugu on three counts of stealing, possession of fraudulent document and forgery to the tune of N3,900,000.

Onoja who is a Prison Assistant with the Nigeria Prison Service allegedly orchestrated the fraudulent transfer of the sum of N132, 900,000 from six customers accounts with a new generation bank.

Woman who stole friend's baby in Lagos said she did it so she could get married

On Tuesday, the Lagos State Police Command paraded 26 year old Onyebuchi Jennifer, the lady who was arrested in Anambra State for stealing her friend's 9 month old baby in Lagos State.
She said she stole the baby in the Ajegunle area of Lagos and fled to Anambra State so that her bf could pay her bride price and marry her.

According to Punch Metro: Jennifer, who claimed to be an orphan, said she met and started living with her bf in Anambra State in October 2014, but that he refused to marry her until she had a child for him.

Navy Arrested 11 Sailors With 6,000 Tons of Crude

The Central Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy has confirmed the arrest of eleven sailors aboard a vessel and tugboat with an estimated 6,000 tons of stolen crude oil along the waterways in Bayelsa State.

The sailors were aboard a vessel registered as MT DERA and a tugboat RUNNER CHARLEY.

The Nigerian Navy, according to the statement issued by Lieutenant Commander Eddie Yeibo, detained the vessel and tugboat along the Eremor 1 Marginal Oil Field located off Peretorugbene in Ekeremor Local Government Area (LGA) of Bayelsa State.

SA Based Nigerian Man, Arrested By NDLEA With Drugs (See Photos)

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos have arrested a South African-based Nigerian, Ayoola Adebayo, with 3.920kg of substances found to be methamphetamine. Ayoola was arrested during the outward screening of passengers on an Ethiopian airline flight to South Africa.

A statement by the agency’s spokesperson, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, on Friday stated that the drug was concealed in false bottom of the two bags the suspect wanted to check-in at the departure hall of the airport.

Decomposing body of lecturer discovered after his kidnap in Edo three months ago


 
The decomposing body of a lecturer of Agricultural Economics at the Ambrose Ali University, Professor Paul Erie, who was abducted by kidnappers on June 16 at about 7:45pm along Agbor-Uromi road, by Igbanke village in Orhionmwon, Edo state, has been found.

The state police spokesperson, Stephen Onwochei, while confirming the recent development said 5 persons identified as Awulu Sam‎son aka Saseki, Lucky Owuadegbe, Jeremiah Amayo, Chucks Edobor and Stephen Usiagwu have been arrested in connection with the murder.

15 dead, 41 injured in Abuja bomb blasts

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, police authorities and the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, have confirmed 15 dead and 41 injured in the multiple blasts in Abuja, Friday night.

It was learnt that the remains of those killed have been deposited in various hospitals across the city.

Ogun Abandons Multi Billion Naira Road Project (Photos)


The last time construction work was done on the 32km Sango/Ijoko-Agbado/Oke-Aro/Akute/Ojodu Abiodun road was in November 2014. The project had kicked off in late 2012.

Now the project has stalled with less that 40% completed after demolishing several houses in the Sango/Ijoko-Agbado/Oke-Aro/Akute/ axis.

‘Obama handshake’ triggers anger in Iran parliament

The Iranian foreign minister’s reported handshake with US President Barack Obama triggered chants of “Death to America” in Tehran’s parliament Wednesday and a warning against “another kind of spying”.

The foreign ministry has confirmed a “completely accidental” encounter between Obama and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday, without denying there was a handshake as reported by Iran’s semi-official ISNA news agency.

But hardline lawmakers went on the offensive against Zarif.
